Advanced Technology

Safe, reliable, sterile compounding requires strict adherence to quality standards which includes specialized equipment, high quality materials and a well trained staff.  TCP features a USP 797 compliant ISO Class 8 clean room and ISO Class 5 hoods to assure the safety of our staff and quality of our preparations. Chemicals used to compound medications come to us with certificates of analysis from the most reputable active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and chemical wholesalers. Our preparation team have years of experience in sterile compounding, and are required to pass rigorous in-house testing before being allowed to work in the sterile lab.

We also test our compounded medications through outside analytical laboratories registered with the FDA, DEA, and Texas DPS. Our products are studied and routinely tested to extend and verify the stability and use-by dates on all preparations. Testing measures include raw chemical evaluations, preparation testing, multiple in-process inspections, and environmental monitoring.

TCP earned accreditation from the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), awarded to only a few Texas pharmacies.  TCP has also enrolled in an additional continuous quality improvement (CQI) program from an independent quality assurance company that constantly monitors our compounding processes to ensure quality compounded products (both sterile and non-sterile).

Product Management

TCP’s staff works in tandem with our internal computer systems and software to assure accuracy in formulation and documentation of each compound prepared.  Electronic logging of materials received assures the ability to trace a finished product back to its original raw materials.  Our software systems also help us manage shelf life expiration dates of all raw and finished preparations. Finally, we store and manage a record of all customer information, including lot numbers of preparations shipped.

Internal computer monitoring systems note the origin of raw materials, manage shelf-life dates, ensure formulation accuracy and record all customer information.

Commitment to Excellence

Quality and safety are the top priorities at TCP, and we consistently put this belief in action.  We go to great lengths – from investing in top-notch equipment to achieving the best industry accreditations – to ensure your patients are receiving quality products and excellent customer service, without passing on additional costs.

Accreditations and Licensure

TCP adheres to the highest industry standards, and has achieved accreditation with the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB).  This accreditation has been awarded to only a few Texas pharmacies; its standards are rigorous and require strict attention to detailed policies and procedures. TCP is also a member of the Professional Compounding Centers of America, or PCCA, whose training and products are the best the industry has to offer. We also test our compounded medications through outside analytical laboratories registered with the FDA, DEA, and Texas DPS, and are enrolled in a continuous quality improvement (CQI) program from an independent quality assurance company.
