Compounding starts with your needs and your physician.  He or she evaluates your health issues and determines whether a commercially available product is the best solution, or if a specially-made compound would better treat your condition.

Compounds can be adjusted in any number of ways to get the best result for a patient’s particular situation. For example, if you are having a surgical procedure, we can make a product that not only will assist with post-operative pain, but also features a sustained release component that dulls pain after the initial medication starts to wear off.  We’re also able to include additives that ease the side effects that commercially-made pain relievers often cause, mitigating the need for additional drugs.

Once your physician has decided on the best medicine for your health needs, the prescription formulation is faxed to us and we make the product.  Our pharmacists receive special training in compounding, and are available to answer any questions you or your doctor may have.  Oftentimes, after talking to a patient, our pharmacists will make a suggestion to their physician about an alternative that may be better suit the patient’s particular needs.

The point is: the compound we make is customized to fit your needs, mirror your body’s chemistry.
